Assessment Solutions is a new service offered by Cornucopia Lanka, the local arm of HR Cornucopia Asia headquartered in Bangalore. Assessment Solutions would include designing and conducting Assessment/Development Centres in which competency-based approach is incorporated.
It also includes conducting Organization Wide Technology based Surveys such as Climate Survey, Commitment Survey, and Employee Satisfaction Survey.
“An Assessment/Development Centre is a process where we use an assortment of techniques to understand an individual’s or group of individuals’ level of expertise on a pre-determined set of parameters,” a press release said.
The purpose of assessment centres is primarily to fill job vacancies whereas development centres aim at developing individual competencies.
Cornucopia is offering customized Assessment/Development centres which would enable scientific talent acquisition and objectivity in decisions pertaining to internal promotions and succession planning.
According to Cornucopia SL MD Dinesh Weerakkody, a competency based assessment approach aids the organization in the strategic alignment of competencies with business growth, selection for job or culture fit, career planning or succession planning, training and development, thereby promoting individual and organizational growth.
Organization wide analysis helps to understand the organization’s performance in the “softer” domains that constitute the corporate culture.
