Special Stamp By Postal Department In Honour Of Evang. Prof. S. Rajendran

For the first time a memorial stamp will be issued in memory of a Christian Evangelist,  Prof. S. Rajendran by the Postal Department.
The memorial stamp will be issued during the memorial thanksgiving service which is to be held on October 28 at 10 a.m. at the Jesus Lives Church at Colombo 15.

The Jesus Lives Evangelical Ministry International, Sri Lanka  has expressed their appreciation to the government and the officers of the Postal Department for issuing the special stamp in memory of Prof. Rajendran.
During his 25 years long service, Prof. Rajendran started a children’s home in Kalmunai  and established Jesus Lives Evangelical Ministry for the blessing of many thousands of people.

“He was also instrumental in protesting against anti conversion law which was brought to curb the freedom of Christians, and also acted against persons and institutions who defiled God’s name, and brought a revival in this country,” the Jesus Lives Evangelical Ministry International Sri Lanka said in a statement.
“As a Prophet he revealed many prophecies to this nation and to other nations of the world regarding natural disasters and destructions which were to occur, and these were informed through letters and public meetings. In the past, presidents and political leaders received his advice and attended Crusade meetings,” the statement said.

He was bestowed with the title of ‘Bishop’ by the Christian Society in Nigeria and two Japanese universities gave him the title of ‘Professor’ and ‘Doctor,’ while the Christian Society in India bestowed him the title of ‘Senior Apostle.’
Prof. Rajendran passed away on October 28, 2003.
