The market leader in general insurance in Sri Lanka, Ceylinco Insurance-General, will further consolidate its presence in the North with the opening of three new branches   in Manipay, Achchuweli and Chankanai.  The three  branches are due to be opened during the period October 25 to November 5, 2009 and will strengthen the company’s northern network by increasing the total number of branches in the area to 20, making Ceylinco Insurance-General the largest general insurance company to operate in the north and east (n&e).
Ceylinco Insurance-General currently operates the largest network in the industry with over 240 branches spread throughout the island.
Commenting on the expansion, Ceylinco Insurance-General Deputy Chairman Ajith Gunawardena says that the move comes in recognition of the need for general insurance services felt acutely by the people of the area.
“We plan to keep in step with the rapidly expanding development currently carried out by the Government in the war affected areas. Ceylinco Insurance General is the only company offering the people of the area settlement of claims on the spot both in Vehicle and Non Motor insurance, which for them is a superior service they can make use of.”
Many years back, having pioneered venturing into the n&e, Ceylinco Insurance is still recognized and trusted by the people of the area for prompt claims settlement.
“We have always had a strong presence in the n&e-Ceylinco Insurance believes that every individual has the right for protection and will provide insurance solutions to people of all walks of life. Our branches will provide customers of n&e, the families, businesses and the emerging S.M.E. sector the opportunity to make use of our outstanding level of service,” Gunewardena added.
Customers of those areas will now have instant access to a 24 X 7 state of the art call centre of Ceylinco Insurance-General. With trained staff with a wealth of experience and expertise behind them, Ceylinco Insurance General plans to serve customers of those areas with a high level of service.
Despite a global slow down and crippling effects of recession, Ceylinco Insurance-General has succeeded in sustaining a consistently high level of achievement. Gunawardena reiterates that the company’s commitment to maintaining a high level of service and fast claim settlement has given them the cutting edge over competition.
“Customers know us best-and have consistently assured us that we take care of their needs in keeping with their expectations,” he added.
