Sarath Fonseka Whizzed Out of BIA

Chief of Defence Staff General Sarath Fonseka arrived in Sri Lanka this morning and was immediately escorted out of the Bandaranaike International Airport under very tight security.

The Foreign Ministry in Colombo said Fonseka had ended his US visit without being subjected to any questioning by the United States Department of Homeland Security or any other agency of the US Government.

    Nothing to say.

Let state secrets be state secrets. It is important that the Sri Lankan media realizes the importance of guarding state secrets. Try questioning anybody from the Pentagon about US affairs in Iraq and you will be told that it is classified information and thus will not be released to the media.
I like to see the day that the media in SL behave in a responsible manner when it comes to affairs that are related to the security and honour of the country instead of scavenging for the benefit of making a few extra bucks.
