if the many of the country today are satisfied, why the unrest among country´s uni students on a raise is the question that we need to ask right at the moment.

Sure, MR and leadership caused to win the war against Ltte terror. But right at the moment world is looking at sl not to a manner that they look at former Sahir in africa or Cambojya. It is all because the manner that MR handles things in terms of war settlements.

Also need to ask the quesiton why he has cancelled his participation at the Oxford union lately. And he was welcomed by world leaders during his last visit to the US in the participation of UN general assembly.

And let alone, ask yourself what qualifications has the current srilanken Ambassador to the US- but how he was appointed to the position. No matter the role should properly be done, he just wanted to appoint any of his close ones to destroy´country´s repuation using his narrow minded tactics. People of th country will be aware all these soon. No lies can ever be buried – as my granny once let me know.

Iron bridges can assemble within two or three months (Ex: kalaniya bridge ). But concrete bridges take few years to complete. (Ex : dematagoda) If GOSL block the Kandy road and build a concrete bridge for few years what will you say?

Where did you get those numbers? Are you sure they are correct?

When we study carefully the performance of the MR regime for past four years the ramphant waste and corruption are the factors for his defeat from this pre-mature elections. Our senior SriLankan engineers demonstrated the cost-effectiveness of the steal briges relative to concrete bridges.The Nation has to pay back those wastages(this is only one example).

Victor Ivan wants to favour MR and that’s why his assessment is not unbiased.
He says MR is clever,patiently waited a long time.has experience,endured
humiliation at the hands of Chandrika and created a situation that top job must
be entrusted to him and can not be denied.And also Ivan tries to tell us that MR
was weak in selecting high calibre experienced officers to govern the country.
My question to Ivan is,all this patience,endurance,experience and cleverness for what? If he did not choose the right people to put the country into whatever
shape he wanted to,why chose them?Forget about all these wrongs.Just give
one good answer,not to be unhappy of his intentions.Start from 20 may 2009
to 20 may or even june 2010 and imagine the whole govt is engaged in nothing
but election carnival.Talk about one whole year post war development and the
functioning of presidency.

MR did a great job in leading the country in the war that was considered un-winnable a few years ago and even compelling the EU to play safe against the LTTE.

However these visible facts of nepotism, inactivity against corruption and mis-behaving party members is going to play a big role in this elections and swaying a major part of the swing vote against him. MR might still win the presidential election but will not get the thumping majority he would otherwise have got.

However the future is not so bleak for him , provided that before the parliamentary elections he shows some tangialbe actions against these unacceptable matters. He then will even get the two thirds majority required to do away with the consitution and build a strong united Sri Lanka.
All this is only to be seen!
I am a swing voter!
