Bravery By The Police!

I still have not got over the shock, shame and disgust over the brutal murder of the unarmed boy Sivakumaran by two men identified as policemen while he was in the sea and begging the policemen not to attack him.  His drowning was the result of the policemen attacking him mercilessly with clubs as was witnessed by everyone on TV. It is a shame on the entire police force.

Had a Police Commission been established the two policemen would have thought twice before doing what they did. As things are now, it is not only these two policemen but everyone in the police force who seem to think that they could take the law into their own hands with impunity.

We cannot blame the two policemen alone.  We must blame the whole police force for being responsible for the situation we are facing today. I would suggest that posters showing the two policemen attacking the innocent boy be exhibited in all police stations as an act of bravery by the police.
