Major General Senanayake Packed Off To Jaffna

Former Special Operations Director, Major General Mahesh Senanayake has been transferred to Jaffna, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.
Senanayake formerly worked at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, during Sarath Fonseka’s tenure.
Nanayakkara said Senanayake’s new post would be General Office Commander at Division 52, Varani, in Jaffna.
The Military Spokesman said the order to transfer Senanayake had come from Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya last week.
The Spokesman said Senanayake would be taking up his new post immediately.
The latest transfer comes just days after SSP A.S. Munasinghe, the brother-in-law of Sarath Fonseka who functioned as Director of the Ministerial Security Division was transferred to the Tourist Police Department soon after Fonseka handed over his resignation.
Not what you do but who you know.
Anyone can see how punishment transfers can take place in Sri Lanka if yu don’t play Ball with Mr Pandu-Karaya. Such is Life..In Sri Lanka of course.

Its a typical third world country political tricks. Earlier intelligence was spearheaded to track the LTTE cadres and now the gun is pointed to the political opponents. In this case “General Sarath Fonseka’s People”.
Since the presidential election is around the corner you guess hoe many more heads will roll, how many of them will be transfered to dry zones, punishment transfers, no increments etc.
Though we Sri Lankans having 5000 years of herritage and civilization, our present cultures don’t stand nowhere near. In the international areana we will be the laughing stocks.
