Thanga, You are quite right. These tamils who depend on the largesse of MR are the parasites among tamils. Another is Devananda – who reportedly took busloads of IDPs to resettle, but was turned back by the army.He is now trying to enslave the residents of the Islets as earlier, assisted by the navy,for the next election, like when he became MP with a handful of votes in the last parliamentary election..
These vultures dare not land-grab in other provinces but only in the northeast,which is under an undeclared Martial Law – the army controls the everyday life of all tamil residents.Only Tamilnet reports the almost daily disappearances,discovery of dead bodies,arrests and murder of citizens,denial of rights of fishing,farming and education. The army has also reportedly planted hundreds of buddha statues,and are slowly ‘sinhalising’ all tamil place names. Those evicted by the “High Security Zones” earlier are not yet resettled in terms of the Supreme Court decision last year. Thse Zones are unnecessary now that the LTTE is eliminated.

This land grab is nothing surprising. It is also not surprising that the land has been grabbed after by passing the Provincial Council and its Chief Minister. This is also prove, if prove is needed, that these provincial councils, especially the East is a dummy. It is an empty shell. Likewise the Chief Minister is a puppet. Those who think that 13th Amendment plus or minus is the cure for the ethnic conflict should think again. In the meantime News comes that PLOT leader Sdtharthan has decided to support the candidature of Mahinda Rajapakse. This is not surprising since he and his party cadres’ livelihood depends on the largess of of Mahinda Rajapakse. It should be recalled that the vehicle used in the abduction and subsequent murder of Dharmaratnam Sivaram belonged to Sidtharthan. The prime suspect arrested in connection with the murder is his private Secretary. Sidtharthan knows his fate if he tries to cross the line.
