Who Do We Bank On Now?
With so many having been swindled of their savings by companies such as HPT, Mercantile Credit, Sakvithi and the greatest rip-off of them all, Ceylinco Gold Key, I categorically state no action has been taken by the government and Central Bank authorities to bring the perpetrators to book or give relief to the suffering people.
It is a shame that the Central Bank has not been able to apprehend any one of the culprits, some of whom are living it up overseas, some in the comfort of the Merchant’s Ward or the luxury Welikada lodging. This indictment points to the present Governor of the Central Bank who is either ignorant, or someone who ‘sees no evil, hears no evil or speaks no evil.’ This is entirely his fault.
The Governor’s only task is to justify the baloney of those in the government. Will our economy ever rise from the doldrums?
When will the President realise that with this type of governance there is no hope for any progress with the coterie of nincompoops he has appointed to responsible positions?
