SB Joins Government
UNP National Organizer S.B. Dissanayake joined the government December 7 after making an official announcement about his stance on the forthcoming Presidential election and the candidature of the common candidate General Sarath Fonseka.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa met with Dissanayake at his residence in Hanguranketha, where Dissanayake’s role at the forthcoming Presidential election was discussed at length. Dissanayake left for Hangurnaketha last Friday and did not attend the party’s convention on Saturday (5).

MR and SB..literalyy thick as Thieves..That’s what thet must be looking for in times to come..so it is win at all cost, and we can settle the ”Spoils ” later.
SB has been sucjed into this by MR…what can yu expect with SB being greedy as ever..nothing unusual, coming from SB and MR
Hora Thakkidiyas back as partners..Wonder who will finally end up selling whom…Useless rogues, using their position and the trust of the common masses to manupulate, so that they can further add to their ill gotten gains.
Shameless Thieves whom we trust and voted for to run our country.
I think MR is filling once again his re-cycle-bin with the very halmful viruses from the opposition.Hon.Sarath Fonseka is an exact Anti Virus formula.

The plot thickens. MR still has some more tricks to pull, probably. Next may be the TNA (may be he has already done it).
Good riddance, the UNP may say.
The sort of patience and principle that is involved in staying on and putting-up with what one does not savour, is not an easy path, and it is no wonder that for an ambitious soul like SBD, the wait to get to the top is an impatient one!
But this is the very plague that had hit Lanka in its six decades as a democracy.
It has found many who have delusions of the former royal times, and they envisage to reach that through the democratic system, and in the process, Lankans have had to put up with many decades of misery at the hands of these who naturally turn despotic!
Here is another reason to look at the national legislature system where digruntled and ambitious people have to wait their turn within their parties. Many will surely hope the initiative of the UNF to strengthen cosensus-politics will augur well for the country!
May all be safe and well and be blessed with just and fair rule!
Hanguranketha had a decent and gentleman parliamentarian, Rohan Abeygoonesekera, who, took over as a young graduate from Peradeniya, after the demise of his father, the late Geroge Abegoonesekera, who held that seat under the late Premier Dudley Senanayake and under JRJ after the 1977 elections.
Rohan did not come there purely as the son ascending to the father’s position, but proved himself as a worthy representative who had the education and will to learn new things and be a just and fair parliamentarian, representing all the people of Hanguranketha.
One could say, having met both UNPers and SLFPers from Hanguranketha, that Rohan represents that rare breed of gentleman politcian, and the point this comments wishes to make is that, if we look carefully, there still remain those educated decent people whom the electorate can depend on if their parties so choose.
To have asked a person of the calibre of Rohan to step down for the upstart from the PA to be accommodated was a travesty. The UNP could easily have accommodated the crossovers as national list MPs rather than forfeit their loyal and decent members. Anyway, that is history now, and I do not know if Rohan would be available today.
But we do know, that the antics of hopefuls like SBD, who keep jumping ship, spell disaster for the political ethos of this country! The UNF can do a great service, if its political allies can lay down a tradition/ convention where people can enter the UNF from whatever politcal party where a young people’s representative cuts their teeth. But once in the legislature, they must necessarilly act nationally only. This is possible with the consensus-politcs that the UNF can introduce and develop. It would then not matter from what party one comes, but they all must work hard to cooperate and collaborate for the building of national policies and systems, rather than be pre-occupied with party and personal aggrandisement schemes!
Hope that this ‘naive’ thought can become a possibility that will be a feature of future parliaments.
May all be safe and well, and have worthy representatives in their legislature.
I was also thinking of Mr.Rohan Abegunasekera yesterday. His elder sister is a professor in the University of Peradeniya and living in Asgiriya,in front of the Bo-Tree(Junction Wariapola Sri Sumangala Mawatha). Very sorry the situation in SL and the shameless cross-overs for their personal gains such as SBD and Nandimithra Ekenayeke.Nandhi was filled for the vacancy of Hon.Alick Aluvihare,a supermost politician in the hill country together with Hon.E.L Senanayeke and Hon.A.C.S.Hameed. I can’t remember any respectable politician from the SLFP but Hon.A.G.Fernando gained some reputation.
The country needs an U turn in all affairs and I wish Hon.Sarath Fonseka could fullfil the aspirations of all the peoples(Sinhala,Tamil ana Muslims) if he will be elected by the people.

hon. fonseka. we accept your leader ship and vote for you for our countey’s future…..(who is SB.???? every body knows that is a paralyic monkey ).but we rae with YOU. FOR EVER.
This man has no shame and is not from a good family. After all he is a typical politician who knows that if he walks over to the government side, he can make more money. All I can say to the long suffering voters is to vote for Ranil because you cannot get a honest and capable politician like him in SL.

Having listened to the video clip in Daily Mirror, I felt saddened by the depths to which political discourse has descended in our good country.
SBD certainly had the right to change his allegiance to the SLFP, at least, to the extent that it is not unlawful as the law stands today. But the vile and lewd content of his malicious slander prompts the following comments:
1. This must be the foulest mouth of the current politicians;
2. If there be any Lankan voters who, after listening to this malicious speech, still may think that this man is a fit leader, I sincerely hope they must be an insignificant minority;
3. The 180,000 odd who voted him at the Centrral Province elections, must feel that they deserve better candidates; and
4. The decent-minded amongst the SLFP must surely be considering their political and voting options!
Here is a challenge to the UNF, all its constituent parties and the JVP, to raise the level of political discourse in this country, in all three languages.
We like to see the UNF and JVP initiative together with General SF as one aimed at putting right a number of wrongs that individual parties had done to the political and socio-economic evolution of this country.
Similarly, the decency and quality of language used in all political documents, particularly in propaganda type literature, between now and the Janauary elections, to be very carefully vetted for the sake of the young and future generations of citizens.
If the UNF achieves this, that alone, can go down as a great service done by the alliance to right the Lankan polity.
May this country take a bold step to rid itself of all malevolent actions that mar its good name, public image and decent character. Individuals like SBD must learn that being responsible and decent, in thought, speech, and action, as people’s representatives, is crucial if they are to serve the public life of this country at all.
May all be safe and well.
“Raigamaya and Gampolaya” getting together again to plunder the country: Rajapakses need the Voting Machine to win by hook or by crook. UPFA stage will have a plenty of monkeys with verbal diahorrea with people such as SB and Gel Wimal entertaining the public. Surely they can entertain the Gallery, but one must always be mindful of the fact that there are more intelligent people siting in Dress Circles and Balcony as well.
Gel Wimal will play the DRUMS & the Voting machine will DANCE
SB is like Anura Bandara
Rajapaksa & Bros in the Low Country . Dissanayaka & Bros in the Up Country.
Ha Ha Ha
hah hah haaa. SB now no need to affraid to express your favorite word……….. about…. P…. K….. ADIKARANAYA… please one more ..one more one more time…
He is a bad egg anyway and shouldnt have been accepted by the UNP in the first place. We all know about his behaviour during Chandrikas time.
