In A Nutshell

IT’S ALL FOR THE MONEY

It was Mangy from the (M) camp that held all paradisians’ breaths when he offered 100,000 smackers to anyone who could hazard a guess as to which promise made in the Chin Thanaya had been honoured. With the recession and prices soaring in the local markets this figure was considered princely. Paradisians blue, green, red and of all hues went through the Chin Thanaya with a fine tooth comb but….naaa…not done Mangy, too difficult, too difficult.

ANTICLIMAX

With cross overs and double crosses galore the latest would be high jumper Dee Moo was harassed by hundreds of ring… rings. All cos he said “ I can be a green or blue anytime…” to thunderous applause at a meeting. Many a family member was beseeched to find out the truth by the blue camp. With the thunderous applause  the last bit… “but I will remain blue..” was drowned out…ha ha

JUST ONE OF THE BOYS?

Last Tuesday night saw many returnees at the Bee Eye Ai stare in disbelief at a familiar figure waiting patiently in the Immigration queue to enter the paradise land. Some curious country bumpkins couldn’t believe their eyes. The beeeg business tycoon was amongst the proletariat…..no 100,000.00 for guessing. Yessss…Dirty Harry…

WHAT A HOOT!

Wee Flower was also the recipient of an invite to the school Maroon and Gold to felicitate some old boys. Having been asked not to speak of podi tricks…he broke the rule. At first he was greeted with a couple of hoots to which he retorted that there were “nariyas” in the house. Then the whole house erupted with hoots. The poor blot had to be rescued by the security types out of the hall. Well done maroon and gold… Well done.

LET THEM EAT BREAD

Guess what? The paradise isle has her own Marie Antoinette…the male version. Poor Dana and Rina has reduced prices of bread by 3 bucks. Why? Not because he loves us poor. Cos there is a shortage of local rice. So like Antoinette he says “if there is no rice….eat bread.”

WHO LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG?

Oh with the Leading types giving figures from the ledgers of the Fingara Town and Country of the costs of feeding hoards according to “our charithraya”, the Araliya abode was flustered. Word is out as to how this rag had found the sums owed and an inquiry is on to catch the culprit. But, it’s the people’s money that charithraya is being offered.

THE ALIENS ARE LANDING

Conspiracy theories are like mother’s milk to us yakkos. The two main election giants camps are trading punches but the lines are like chemistry’s theory on osmosis. The President’s camp has accused the General’s camp of aligning themselves with foreign forces against the country while the General’s aides have fired back saying the government has struck a friendship with the UN to compel Philip Alston’s letter. Fully permeable boys.

WHAT A HIGH!

The story that 200,000 smackers being donated to the campaign of the El Presidente by a farmer in Anu Ra Dapoora took flight. But on closer look the would be poor farmer turned out to be the owner of a licence to purvey liquor. All courtesy of a blue representative from the house at Diya Wanna….Mathata Thitha?

So, it was after all not a “poor farmer” from Anuradhapura who donated the money to the President but a liquor licence holder who might be minting money, regardless of the so called “Mathata Thitya” programme. Shows how the Chinthana types fool the poor gullible voters: in all probability the President himself knew of this drama but took a grand patriotic stand in announcing he will accept even any small amount from a “poor farmer” but not from so and so’s parents. What a liar, and what a farmer. The show goes on ! Jaya wewa, Mathata Thitha !!

Remember, a small shot will clear the brain and helps the thinking process !

Of course, a “small shot” does definitely help the process! But the problem is the VIPs who themselves take the “shot” and offer the “shots” to all sundry who visit the Dan Sela, exhort the virtues of a “Mathata Thitha”. Even a Chakvarti Monk recently preached in his “Bana” that serving liquor to the invitees is quite OK and it is not in breach of “Pan Sil”. So why not admit it and change the campaign to “Thithata Matha”

yes..Mr.SF may be clearing his brain from morning to night..That is the reason for his changing opinions time to time…In Ratnapura he stated that he wont prevent if somebody is trying to take GOTA to war crime courts..Is that what we sri lankans need..?..we want a leader who protect every citizens in the country..

      • DIXON

“Janatha”, why should SF or any future leader protect any of our citizens from being prosecuted for crimes against humanity, felony and conspiracy? This is Sri Lanka and if we have not already become a failed state, then I don’t want my motherland to fall deeper into lawlessness like those that have in Afghanistan, North Frontier Province, Somalia or Yemen notorious for harbouring terrorists, criminals and murders. Don’t we harbour some of these miscreants in our PARLIAMENT when they should be in Welikada Prison?
Therefore, if SF does NOT wish to spare anyone including himself, then why shoot the messenger when he has proposed a benevolent message so that “JUSTICE” prevails. SF himself has bravely claimed that he too bares the responsibility and is aware of the risks of being prosecuted ( which I hope not) because he knows that the world community is NOT naive, quixotic and blind as we think they are. The world too is appreciative that we took the military solution to wipe out the beastly LTTE leadership that eschewed a democratic solution to end the conflict peacefully. The Western world does get the picture although our existing leadership does not, and the way forward is to engage the International Community as Japan rightly advised us to do. We have very powerful allies including the USA who will always support us but not this regime for a poor track record because several senators in the USA maintain that the “STEALING of the MR regime has not stopped for the HEALING process to begin”. There you have it Sir. Subha Avuruddak! Asuba prathipaththi! A’shilachara Raj’yak! Raj’juruwante, Ammage Bu’dalayak?

So the lies go on and on, all in the name of serving the people while the truth is, it is for the benefit of the self-serving, corrupt, racist & arrogant politicians who want to retain their power at any costs. SHAME on them, that is if they have any shame left.
As for I have the utmost contempt and hatred for these wolves in sheeps clothing. May they rot in hell. Good buddhists they are not.
