Saville Row to EEANN

The EEANN designer collection is all about creating something unique.
EEANN Orient (Private) Ltd. Operations  Director Thabit Samad told The Sunday Leader, “We use 100% quality accessories especially imported from Germany to stitch suits for daily wear comfort and we have diplomats from EU countries insisting that we make their suits here, rather than importing it from their home countries.”
By using “incredible” craftsmanship and decades of perfected expertise, EEANN gives you more than a suit that fits out of a fancy fabric. At EEANN it’s all about designing and creating new elements and details exclusively for each and every customer.
The origins of the company date back to a Chinese duo-William and Vincent Mei from Singapore who introduced customized tailoring as done by Savile Row of London for the first time in Sri Lanka over 20 years ago.
EEANN’s ‘Master Cutters’ soon made a name for themselves as the finest of master-tailors in their day and swiftly won the market by storm.
William took a liking to W. Thompson Soysa, one of his assistants, well-known as Thompson. He was trained by William, the Orient’s Great Master Tailor in essential sartorial disciplines, making him The Master Cutter he is today.
On the demise of William, the Meis great tailoring tradition has been continued to this day by EEANN Chairman and Managing Director Saeed Ahamed, “a Wesley College Colombo old boy, computer professional (BCS) and a born entrepreneur. He controls the destiny of his enterprise and that of the enterprising master tailors at EEANN. “
Ahamed said, “We have improved further on the excellent standards we have continued to maintain from its inception and all the fabrics that goes to make the finest of suits for company directors, lawyers, socialites, cream of the crop entrepreneurs and bigwigs in the corporate world are imported from Thailand, Hong Kong and U.K.”
The initials embroidered on the inside jacket and the contrasting under collar in a colour of your choice ensures that the suit is unique and fits like a glove in every sense of the word, said Samad.
