I totally disagree with you from the education standard point of view.
Having had the opportunity to work with the cream of Malaysian students both Chinese & Malays, I got the feeling that education standard among Malays are getting worse due to these policies !! Actually the level is unbelievably LOW even among the Malay government scholars ! The level is so low, that other than Malaysian government sponsored scholarships, all the other scholarship opportunities occupied by the Chinese students. If you take Monbusho, JP government scholarship given to the best Asian students, there are hardly any Malay !

These kind of affirmative actions will bring immence damage to our education standards. No matter the validity of arguments for this, in a long future, country can never prosper from these rules.

OK Mat. I will get some medical help. But before that you prove to the world that where ever the Tamils go (particularly Jaffna Tamils), they don’t mess up the place.
1. They came to Sri Lanka (may be 1000s of years ago or may be 100s of years ago. It is not important). They “worked hard”, admittedly. Then they became the biggest criminals (as per any country’s law, insurgency or armed struggle is treason). That was the biggest crime you can commit against the country you live in.
2. They went to Canada – They did well but their reputation is not “hard working people”. They are known as traffickers, credit card cuprits and common criminals.
3. They went to USA – They did well but see what did this Raj Rajaratnam guy do. It is the world record!!!
Shall I go on???
And you say I have mental isuues? Thanks a lot mate.

Which planet are yiu in? Singapore and Sri Lanka have their differences. Singapore has no resources other than human resources. Sri Lanka has plenty. Only problem is that the Tamils claim most of it as theirs. They don’t do anything with it and they don’t let others to do anything with it.
That is why the country hasn’t developed. The Tamils hold all the wealth, atleast most of it. Then they want a state for them, leaving the majority Singhalese high and dry. That is what they call “political solution”.
Who stopped Tamils from contributing? They are educated (mostly up to a degree) in Sri Lanka for free. They leave the country and make contribution to other countries. They never pay anything back. It is all paid by Singhalese who left over in Sri Lanka. If the govt drop its guard, Tamils will spong the country’s wealth more and more.
