Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies (CHA)
Citizens Net – Speak Your Mind
Citizens Net is a web portal accessible by all and dedicated to all citizens. Apart from being an online tracking system and a centralized database of human rights violations from across the island, it is also a space for citizens. CHA handles complaints and issues, identifying the type of assistance which would serve individuals/ groups best, ensuring swift responses and actions.
The CHA would like to invite all citizens to share information and concern via the Citizen’s Net, which caters to all three languages – English, Sinhala and Tamil. Citizen’s Net is open to issues regarding gender-based violence, the rights of children, the elderly and the disabled. Please visit www.citizensnet.org for further information and directions on how to file a complaint.

Ok. You are inviting us to provide human right violations. How are you going to use them . Are you going to be a database for USA and UK, so that they can seal human right violations on us ?
How do you make sure that these allegations are true ? We saw what happened when one of the so called human rights groups provided a fabricated video to channel 4 to tarnish the image of SL army.
In short is this database also going to be somebody elses cat’s paw ?
How do you for sure know that the video tapes are fabricated, were you in wanni at that time or are you beleiving all what the government says? When Mahinda says SF is a crook you believe it and when he says he is a saint you sollow that too. When people like you are there to vote present government like the past governments keep robbing the people and thi\r future. What humen rights for us perhaps you may think of it when the oppersition comes to power.
No worry guys, channel 4 incident was not captured in this system. When someone come forward to assist the effected / vulnerable civilians pls let them to do their job guys…
In the 2nd para they have also mentioned they also look after issues regarding gender-based violence, the rights of children, the elderly and the disabled.
