Lesley New Kandy Secretary

Lesley de Zoysa, a well known figure in rugby administration is the new secretary of the Kandy Sports Club. He takes over from Mahesh Weerasinghe who has stepped down due to pressure of work.
Lesley, as he his known by his friends, is a long standing committee member of the club.  Lesley started his rugby administration with Kandy Lake Club and  Kandy RFC. When Kandy RFC amalgamated with Kandy Sports Club Lesley joined the Kandy Sports Club with his good friend William Weerasinghe who is now no more.
Lesley has previously held various positions — Committee Member, Billiards and Snooker Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President. He was also a live wire of the Kandy Sports Club organised International Rugby Sevens.  In the last two decades whatever Kandy Sports Club did, Lesley was a part of it.
He has given his best to the club, and once again has come back to lend his support.  It was Lesley de Zoysa who helped Y.C. Chang to bring the Clifford Cup Knockout Rugby competition to Kandy by giving rooms at a special rate at Swiss Hotel, where all the “A” Division teams were housed.
