Mahindra Meets Mahinda

Indian Conglomerate Mahindra and Mahindra has announced plans to expand its operations in Sri Lanka. Mahindra has already established a firm base for itself on the island. It has been selling its range of tractors and utility vehicles for over a decade and has sold over 4,000 vehicles in Sri Lanka since.
The Mahindra group is worth over 7 billion US dollars and are in various business other than their main automobile trade. These include IT, financial services, hospitality, infrastructure development, trade and logistics.
Mahindra will first look to expanding their financial services in rural areas of Sri Lanka to capitalize on knowledge economies based on market similarities; “The Sri Lanka market almost mirrors the characteristics found in semi-urban and rural markets in India and we are therefore, keen to explore emerging opportunities in the country” said a company statement.
The firm will supply financing services to rural customers to aid them in purchasing tractors and other Mahindra vehicles. The firm also hopes to eventually get into financing all types of automobiles and even rural housing.
Mr Mahindra also told the Hindu Times that Mahindra was planning on introducing several new products to Sri Lanka, including the Maxximo, a technologically modern sub-1 tonne pick-up and heavy commercial vehicles. ‘We are also studying the possibility of introducing an electric car — the Mahindra Reva — in Sri Lanka in (the) future’ he added.

Mahindra should buy up all of Sri Lanka’s industries and call it Mahindra Lanka subdivision. It is a 7 billion dollar major conglomerate with abilities that are unparalleled in this world! India Inc can do a lot of secure our influence in the island to the south. Sri Lanka was born out of India and stupidly did not accept to join the great Indian Union. It will eventually happen willy nilly. Indian culture forms the essence of Sri Lanka.
Just because Mahatma Gandhi’s non violent struggle won independence to India it does not necessarily mean Indian is a lover of non violence and respecter of human rights.The credit must go to Britain because it respected the struggle and gave independence, though initially tried to suppress the movement.
But what did India do to the Tamils. It abetted Sri Lanka in the genocidal war, sent it war experts to help Sri Lanka, which was exposed after the Anuradhapura airport attacked, supplied arms and medicine, when ordinary men were dying it was covering up, telling the world we are sending our doctors, without letting them to come and see the truth. Even today it is covertly preventing the UN from exposing the truth and punishing the human rights violators. Now it is is trying to pacify the Tamils both here and in India by donating few millions ruppees and building houses forgetting that it helped the government to kill thousands of people of all ages, destroy their houses and property and there normal life worth billions. Now all these people have lost their future and their normal life, now living a sub human life, further their lands are snatched and converted into permanent army cantonment . Don’t forget that it was India first to oppose the P- tom agreement which was to help the tsunami victims. Yet you call India is a respecter of human rights. You know that the millions in your own country refused the rights because of of the strict cast system in your great country. Sorry, dear facts are stubborn, thank you.
India is an em-barrassment to South Asia and in fact to Asia and the world. .With far more poverty and starv ation than the continent of Africa put together, you are an example of what every country and especially a neighbour should avoid. in this light, your pretensions of greatness and domination of SL is very cockeyed and nonsensical indeed. Worry about yourself before interfering with a country that can run its affairs better than you. why beg to the europeans for aid if you are so great?
We are a proud nation of over 20 million people with an income double that of India that is despite the abominable 3 decade terrorist war Indian supported. I must emphasize again that is despite the 30+ years of being under the bootstraps of the terrorists, and yet still we managed to have double the per-capita GDP of India. Our literacy is 91% like China compared to 60% in India. Now that we have resolutely crushed these anti-SL groups with the supports of friends we will become the new Singapore and the most prosperous part of South Asia. That is guaranteed.

Deal between MR & Sonia is slowly taking place and 30,000 civilians shed their blood to make these two blood thirsty mongers happy.

Its certainly good to bring investment into the country. there is no debate about it. why trishows and mahenras and tatas. cheap ugly vehicles will be running all over the country. If they want to bring businesses and investors cant they enchourage Mercs, BMW, Audi, Rover, Jag, Renault, Peageot, Toyota, Nissan & other japanese and atleast Korean KIA or Hyundai etc or even GM.
Lots of inside deals happening with indian industries. Indians will be bringing their own expertise, skilled labour and odd jobs wil be offered to Srilankans at a law salary.
