Mahinda and Praba sent our children to kill each other just so the Rajapakos could rule the country…. these images are so sad – another generation of sri lankans has been tortured

Mahinda – why dont you tell these kids to their face that no civilians were killed in the war!

    • poor memory who start the violence in Jaffna Mahinda or Prabaharan?
remember Mahinda is destroy terrorism and protect the children.

Mr. Ananda, Answer is simple. In order to remove a cancer from a patient’s body a surgeon must cut effected muscles of the body? There is a pain at the time of operation but patient recovers from danger. The doctor has no intention to hurt the patient but the doctor has no other choice. Pain cannot be suppressed. The humanitarian operation by Sri Lankan forces was also to recover the Tamil Society from the widespread cancer (LTTE) and not to harm the Tamil people.

Really. So when everyone called on the government to stop attacking because thousands of civillians were dying, WHAT DID THE GOVERNMENT DO? They did not stop. So you are saying the government is helping Tamils by killing them.

Humanitarian operation? When the government tells its soldiers to “kill everyone” you call that humanitarian? By the way this quote “kill everyone” came from a Government soldier who admitted that they were targetting civilians and he is not the only one that revealed this obvious truth.

My friend, you and your government are not fooling anyone. You can chant this joke about humanitarian activities by your government during the war, BUT NOBODY OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY BELIEVES YOU. What a joke. Sorry but not everyone in the world lacks critical thinking

Not to worry, you, the people of Sri Lanka are the governments next victim. To gain full power, they will remove anyone in their way. Who suffers everyone else, including yourself. Good luck as your government leads you into full dictatorship and eternal rule. Let’s see how humanitarian they will to the rest of the country.

Ananda, I am not a Mahinda supporter at all. As Ronald K, says who started the war? killed tens of thousands of innocent people? Even people were murdered cold bloodedly in sacred places. How many times south invited VP for pecetalks and cease fire? Civilians were killed is an issue for sure, and there is no debate about it. But VP asked for it, ignoring and under estimating the forces. Do you know when praba signed his death warrant? thats when he forced the north people to boycott the 2004 elections, well….. his one and only motive was so clear.
At least now peace is there in the country so lets build the country, keeping the differences a side.

    Who started the war?
1958 riots, 1977 riots, Black July 1983 riots.
Govt forces even burnt the Jaffna Library in 1981
Tamils who can afford to pay for a boat, left to Canada, Europe or Australia as refugees. Poor people who can’t afford even 3 meals a day continue to live in the Northern Srilanka. Last year MR carried out genocide against the poor Tamils in the North.

Civilian casualities are are sad reality of any conflict.
It has been reported that civilian deaths as a result of the conflict in Iraq as at August 2007 was 1,033,000 deaths. I know , being a gentle civilisation going back to several 1000 years, the expectation on warring parties in Sri Lanka (both Govt and LTTE) are much higher than the Coaliation and Taliban.
