It is interesting to read the thread but I am quite amazed to find that there are still few guys believe what Mervin did was correct. Are you guys insane? This is not the way to tackle public service lethargy and only reinforce the idea that the thuggary is the way to solve perceived problems in Sri Lank. We are not living in Saudi Arabia or in stone age and there should be a process to follow before finding a person innocent or guilty. The last thing we want to see is our politiciens get the power to determine who is guilty.

Finally that’s good news. Now any Minister can tie any government officer to tree or a lamp post. This is what we saw JVP were doing in 1989. Shame for Sri Lanka.

    MR. PRESIDENT, SL
WE WOULD SUGGEST bOSS Meryn Silva as the best candidate to the U.N. So,that we can show how to tie down in Rambo style all those who oppose our loans, and bring Human Rights issues in SL any more in the U.N committees.

At last I thought MR really woke up and wanted to stop MS. No that is not to be! It has been a set up scenario to just have an investigation and then decide to free him just to stop the Samurdhi officers from taking action. Hope they will now continue the agitation until the rogue minister is removed. At this juncture when teh government is on a development program these brutes are an hindrance and people unbound to a party will lose intererest in any thing the government does.
