The Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association’s FACETS 2010 trade expo is current underway at the BMICH. The Association hopes that the expo will help position Sri Lanka as a global trade hub in colored gems.
Several delegations from emerging markets such as China, India and the CIS countries were present emphasizing the move by the SLGJA in targting emerging markets in addition to their traditional US and European markets

exceptional beauty and rarity along with inimitable craftmanship and
credibility.The situation is not same anymore due to many reasons and one of
them is,flooding the local market with foreign counterparts.Srilankan originality is at question.Although there are new instruments to identify orgin,it still has
flaws.Can we get back to our real position?
