Mervyn Back In Action
Former Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva has said today (5) that he was still the SLFP organizer for the Kelaniya area and that he never tied a Samurdhi official to a tree.
Silva has observed that he not worried about ministerial portfolios as he was still an organizer and a member of parliament, hence would continue to serve the people in the Gampaha District.
Silva has told the Kelaniya Balamandalaya and Gampaha District Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) organizers at the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha office that no one can destroy his Sinhala Buddhist principles.
The local media has reported that UNP Mayor of the Peliyagoda Municipal Council Ananda Munasinghe had obtained his SLFP membership from Silva during the meeting this morning.
Responding to a question posed by an electronic media insitution at the event about the incident where he had allegedly tied a Samurdhi official to a tree, Silva had said he did not tie anyone to a tree.
Silva had said the Samurdhi official had volunteered to be tied as an example to truant officials and that Councilor Dias had carried out his wishes.
“I ordered him to be untied and took the rope. That is what happened,” Silva had reportedly said.
Responding to another question, Silva had said he was still the SLFP organizer for the area and if not, General Secretary Maithripala Sirisena would not have permitted him to convene a party meeting like the one he was attended at the time.
What a joker this guy is. He thinks that millions who saw him tie the official to a tree on T.V.were blind. I cannot believe that there is a minister such as this in the government. I am ashamed.!
You are wrong. MS is right, he himself did not tie but only instructed his bootlicker or henchman to tie.

Please see whetther you can amendment the constitution for money laundering.

There’s nothing wrong in Mervyn Silva.A few days ago,he was exonerated of all his misdeeds by a panel of highest intellectuals in the island,including several ministers of this government. So it is final and nobody can utter a word against him now.The leaders in Sri Lanka snugly fit the people there.So,you have to accept it and you can’t think,say or act otherwise.Long live Sri Lanka!

That he has kind of a psychiatric problem. The irony is the president’s supportive Attitude towards him. There may be a Valid reason

Many people says, this Mervin is supplying this & that things to politicians. What about others? They don’t like womens? Hay don’t bullshit! Thease all are We should call as “kuhakayo”.
Trying to show that they don’t like it, but wish to have it. How ever back to tiding that samurdhi guy to a tree.
I think it’s just a small kick off for our blind people. Sorry for this samurdhi guy , he might has his own problem of not attending the event. But generally all the government servents or people who attached to government sector is completely lazy lazy & lazy… Actually Dengu is not a big issue, If every one think that we should keep our country clean, we don’t have such problems. Just look back 20 years back. We organized volunteer services. We built roads our self. We cleaned our public wells. Cut extra branches of trees on the roads. Just look at your petti Kade ( small grossary shop at yr village) how many youths are wasting there time with smoking and playing cards. Why can’t use this labor on our own work? Just have a look on the roads. How many polythene bags & papers or lottery tickets or cigerets butts, on the roads, who is throwing those things to the roads? Guys, don’t wast the time. Our people need proper decepline. Some one has to monitor it. It’s a shame to our nation. Because of our lazy & blind people, some smart guys are getting an advantages. We are just running behind some stupid things.
Quite while ago, police has arrested young couples due to holding hands. What a shame country man. What is the problem of holding hands or kissing on the road. It’s happened in decades. It was not a big issue. It’s just transfering feelings man, it’s normal.I am sorry about our country is ruling by Buddhist Taliban.
We Should open a conversation on our loosing basic rights, & our values . Get up! Don’t just wast yr time on Mervin. Your guys have made him popular no doubt.

sorry to say, the deferent of Buddhism in Sri lanka than other country is, other countries are still treating as a great philosophy.
But Sri lankan stupid Buddhist leaders & monks are thinking it’s some how loosing it’s power. They are trying to get the respect byforce.

Why people became monks? As per the Therawadha buddhism it’s in order to reach nirwana step by steps.
Our children giving to ” sasana” almost by force.
Few of those kids still remaining as a “sangha”, but majority is giving up this task at the middle. Because thay have no ability to be agains to reality.
We have very respective top 2 nikayas. We have top two clergies as well. That can only tell you how to reach nirwana, but they never know it, they never want to! Because they are getting extreame benifits from polititiens.
They are not Helping on poeple needs. They are not giving advises to people to come on right track. We are much much lacking of these leadrer ship.
Do you know Talibans well. The srilanka’s buddhism us pretty much same as Taliban.
I am a Buddhist, who know well about philosophy of Buddhism. Also know what is happening in my country.
I should say, keep the Buddhism away from these dirty polititiens & dirty monks. Do not let it be another Taliban.
We need people like Angarika Dharmapala , but without bloody Notorius nationism..
