IGP: Investigations Conducted Into Explosion
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mahinda Balasuriya today (18) said that while investigations are being conducted into the explosion in Karadiyanaru, normal functions of the Karadiyanaru Police division in the Eastern Province would be temporarily handled by the police station in Ayiththamale.
The Karadiyanaru Police building was completely destroyed and many police officers were killed and injured in the accidental explosion of two dynamite laden containers parked in the premises.
The containers belonged to a Chinese construction company engaged in infrastructure development work in the Eastern Province.
The explosion killed 19 persons including two Chinese nationals and injured over 45 persons.
Meanwhile, the Chinese government is probing the death of two of the two Chinese nationals.

IT IS BETTER YOU KEEPING YOUR RESPECT,IF YOU HAVE ANY,CLEAN A TOILET,IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN YOUR IGP TITLE.
DO YOUR JOB ACCORDING TO RULES OR JUST SHUT UP.
WHY DON’T YOU KEEP THESE EXPLOSIVES IN THE TEMPL E TREES OR IN THE PARLIMENT COMPLEX IN CASE THERE IS A EXPLOTION YOU GUY’S DON’T HAVE TO WORRY SO MUCH BECAUSE CASULTIES WILL BE ARE ALL CRIMINALS WHO MUST SENTENCE TO DEATH OR HANG,
It is said that prevention is better than cure. But what has happened to us. No one knew the even the word tsunami till it killed 40000 eventhough we were repetedly talking a similar story for 2000 years. We were hoarding gabage and dirty till dengue killed thousands. Where are we going without planning? This is another example. We need good planer with constructive abstractive thinking and not jokers.
