Sri Lanka Police Goes Online (Photos)

The police officially launched a new online system today. Using this system, it will be possible for the general public to lodge complaints via email, directly to the Inspector General of Police, Mahinda Balasuriya.

The system will be in operation by October 18, it is learnt. IGP Balasuriya said complainants could also write in if investigations were delayed. He promised to take requisite action within 2 weeks. From October 18, the public will be able to send in their complaints to telligp@police.lk, through the official police website.

will it be a flat rate or fee ( bribe) section to which offence how much bribe we should give street police constables? because some rural areas they ask too much for treffic vialtions, since the court and lawyers are not next to my village, this instant finds ( bribes0 making things easier to people.. so make it a flat bribe amt on the web to follow

On Line , off Line whatever, the bottom line is that they are corrupt to the core, merely there to do the bidding of their masters, the Rajapaksha’s. Oh for the deafening cry for an Independent Police force.

Oiiii IGP..Go get a life and come with something mofre original..You and your team have a lot of cleaning up to do before we can think of doing on line stuff.
Don’t jmp the gun but first get your basics in the dept and the people in it, including your poor self fixed.
If I were you , eeing what the police dept is today, I will be ashamed to be the IGP.
Either fix the dept or go graciously before the boss kicks you out some day, after making you the scapegoat,

The most corrupt organization in Sri Lanka has gone on line. You can use your credit cards to lodge complaints.

Police is onlie but the IGP is offline. One of the most corrupted, uneducated, shameless government institutions who always serves politicos before people in Sri Lanka headed by a Brainless but a pigsize S.O.B.
