Ruhuna Uni Administration Board To Meet

The Administration Board of the Ruhuna University is to hold an urgent meeting to discuss the current situation in the university.

Vice Chancellor of the Ruhuna University, Prof. Susirith Mendis has said the meeting is to be held tomorrow (23).

Prof. Mendis has been quoted in the local media as saying that an internal investigation will be conducted regarding the incident where he was assaulted by a group of students on Wednesday (20).

The Vice Chancellor told the media earlier that the incident occurred when he had intervened to settle a dispute between two student groups within the university premises.
