NCPA Appoints Committee To Probe Child Abuse

The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has appointed a special sub committee to inquire into child abuse cases.

The appointment of the sub committee comes at a time when the number of child abuse cases reported in the country have seen an increase.

According to the NCPA, the sub committee is due to find out the causes of child abuse and propose steps to be taken to prevent such incidents.
NCPA Chairperson Anoma Dissanayaka has been quoted in the media saying that the sub committee will be open for ideas and opinions from the public on issues related to child abuse.
