PERC Abolished

Parliament has approved the abolishing of the Public Enterprises Reform Commission (PERC).

The abolishing was made official after parliament unanimously approved a Bill to repeal the PERC Act of 1996.

PERC was set up in 1996 under the then PA government to handle the privatization of several important state institutions.

The Public Enterprises Department of the Treasury is to now take over the staff and assets of PERC.

the corrupt Mahinda Rajapakse government is destroying Sri Lanka. For what they have done to my hero Sarath Fonseka, I ask the Gods above to punish them. I appeal Anoma Fonseka to take full leadership in the liberation struggle against this corrupt government. I will donate my excellent writing skills in this regard
