Legal Action For Having Mosquito Breeding Places
Authorities have taken legal action against over 800 establishments for having mosquito breeding places in their respective premises.
The Sri Lanka Public Heath Inspectors Association has said that between the period of January and December, legal action has been taken against 803 establishments for allowing dengue mosquito breeding areas in their premises.
According to the Association, a collective fine of Rs. 2,416,000 has been received from these establishments.
Health inspectors have visited and inspected over 98,000 establishments island wide between January and December this year.
