UNP To Protest On February 9

The UNP today (31) said the party will hold a massive protest on February 9 against the present administration and call for the release of former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka from prison.

UNP Communications Division head and parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera told a press conference today the protest will be held at the Lipton Circus, Colombo.

He said the protest is aimed at opposing the suppression of the media, the increasing cost of living and the abductions of persons in the North.

Mangala you are a failed politician, opportunist at best. Your call for protest is based on wrong facts. You are a disgraced dirty politician, bank rolled by CBK with her ill gotten wealth. You are CBK’s mouth-piece. You also must be enjoying a lavish life based on “Sales Commissions” of goverment products and services procurement projects. You do not represent any average citizen now or you will never represent any one of us.
