Somali Pirates Kill American Crew
By Abdul H. Azeez
A US couple were killed on Tuesday (22) when their yacht was captured by Somali pirates.
The couple were said to be on an on-again off-again seven year cruise that took them to some of the world’s most remote and beautiful locations.
Retirees Scott and Jean Adam, who were devout Catholics, were on a mission to deliver Bibles to far flung corners of the Earth and at the time of their death, were accompanied by two friends on their vessel. Their deaths occurred as a result of a gunfight that took place on board the yacht.
The couple had never crossed the shipping route known as the “Pirates Alley” and were reportedly anticipating it with trepidation for some time prior to venturing into the Gulf of Aden. They were sailing with the Blue Water Rally cruise fleet, from Australia to the Mediterranean, when their yacht, the Quest, became separated from the other boats on February 22, and they were hijacked by a large group of Somali pirates, off the coast of Oman. The pirates captured the Adams with their friends Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle of Seattle, USA.
Four US naval warships were tailing the captured vessel and officials were engaged in negotiations with two of the pirates who reportedly boarded one of the American naval ships on the morning of February 22. But those talks were cut short by the sound of gunfire coming from the Quest. When Navy forces boarded and captured the vessel they found that all four Americans had been wounded fatally.

Then why weren’t the pirates summarily hung from the highest yardarm right then and there as they were caught in act of piracy on the high seas? Start shooting these pirates on sight and the number of instances of piracy will drop drastically.
THIS IS HORRIBALE… who would do this kind of thing??? i think theses peopple should pay for the lost lives and die
