Keheliya To Receive An Honorary Title
Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella is to be bestowed an honorary title by the Asgiriya Maha Vihara Chapter Sangha Sabha on April 3, the Government Information Department has stated.
The Department has stated that the the Sabha headed by the Mahanayaka Thero has decided to confer the honorary title of ‘Deshamamaka Janaprasadana Lanka Putra’ on Rambukwella.
The decision to confer the title has been made in appreciation of the services rendered by Rambukwella as Media Spokesperson at a time the government was engaged in eradicating terrorism from the country.
Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne and a number of parliamentarians are due to participate in the ceremony that is to take placee at the Asgiri Mahavihara on April 3.

Sometime ago Sunday Leader revealed the corruption of the Minister and his coordinating secretary Anura Weerasekera when Keheliya was the Minster of Foreigh Employment. I belive this award is for that immense corruption and other malpractices
