MR To Fly To Mumbai
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to fly to Mumbai to watch the Cricket World Cup finals between Sri Lanka and India on Saturday (2).
Director General of the President’s Media Unit and the President’s Spokesperson Bandula Jayasekara has told the media that the President wanted the Sri Lankan team to win the World Cup as a tribute to Muttiah Muralitharan who is to retire from international cricket after the World Cup.
The Indian media has reported that the Indian Government with the ICC is to make all the arrangements for the visit of the Sri Lankan President.
