MR: LLRC Report Will Be Credible

President Mahinda Rajapaksa said the report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) would be credible unlike the Darusman report.

Rajapaksa made this comment to media heads at Temple Trees today.

The President said that the term of the Commission has been extended following a request made by it, as the government was keen on ensuring the credibility of the LLRC report.

When asked if the delay in issuing the final report would create moreedifficulties for the government in the face of the Darusman report, Rajapaksa said the Darusman report is not credible while the LLRC report would be.

The President said the government was keen on reconciliation.

    i know wat the report will say.

    Darusman report is garbage, LLRC report will be released after extending the term
    for another couple of six month extensions and then every one can conveniently forget about this report too. Just like the others !

    long time ago, Hitler too nominated commissions and claimed they were credible.
