The newly elected Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayaram Jayalalitha has invited the UNP and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe for a tour in Tamil Nadu.

The invitation has been extended as the Chief Minister Jayalalitha telephoned Wickremasinghe to thank for the congratulations rendered by the latter, UNP sources have said.

The duo has had a lengthy telephone dialogue, according to a party spokesman. They have discussed the situation in the Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka and the need for an amicable political solution with the agreement of all sections.

The spokesman further said that the Opposition Leader would soon visit Tamil Nadu on the invitation of the Chief Minister.

Those days Ranil (in)famously travelled around Europe bashing Sri Lanka’s war efforts and even on the day Sri Lanka declared the annihilation of LTTE, he was abroad going about in his business. Otherwise what does an opposition leader of the parliament do abroad, when he doesn’t do anything in the country? Before Fonseka joined the party for the presidential election, Ranil was struggling to face the public. Now it looks like the government is in trouble with the Moon jumping up, and Ranil is looking for opportunities. Well, some people never learn do they?

Tamil nadu politicians look at Sri Lanka issue as a perennial potential for their political scoring. Jayalalitha is the worst among them. Her past records show that she never tried to solve the problem, but always escalated it by her inappropriate comments and actions. So, Sri lankan politicians, beware of her, she was a talented actor.
