External Affairs Ministry sources have said Rajapaksa would brief President Medvedev on matters arising from the UN Advisory Panel report.

The President is expected to hold talks with other world leaders during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Russia has guranteed the safety of libyan leader Ghaddafi if the latter leaves libya, to reside in another country.
President Mahinda Rajapakse is a personal friend of Ghaddafi.
Will President Medvedev persuade President Mahinda Rajapakse to offer asylum to Ghaddafi?

      gamarala…

and your point is what exactly ?

Rajapakses’ visit has nothing to do with Libya or Gaddafi

Better you ask the people who supported Gaddafi for all these years (for his sweet Libyan Crude), France, the US and Italy – to provide him with Asylum
