More Security For Jaffna
The Sri Lanka Army has deployed more troops in Jaffna with additional foot and mobile patrols to assist the police in maintaining law and order in the area.
The move had been made following Monday’s violence in Navanthurai over rumors of a grease devil roaming in the area.
Jaffna Security Forces Commander Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe has said no one would be allowed to take the law into their hands and attack the police or security forces.
He has warned that those who were armed with clubs, stones, swords, knives, sand and petrol-filled bottles for the purpose of attacking law enforcement officers would be branded as terrorists.
Major General Hathurusinghe has said that no one would be allowed to fulfill the ulterior motives of frustrated war mongers.
Army in North knew who these grease devils are. They pretend they don’t know who these devils are. These devils are from Gothabaya’s servants. They have been told to create a tension in North by our mad dog- Gothabaya. The Tamils are today victims and nobody can speak on their behalf. It is sad the people in South ignore the plights of these poor Tamils. God is great and Mahinda knows what happened to Libyan, Iraq and Egypt leaders. His days are numbered and nobody can help him at that time.
this is not a security to the people of Jaffna, but a security to those who committ crimes or harrass people of Jaffna
