Opposition Leader’s Office Still Unrepaired

The Opposition Leader’s Office in Colombo is yet to undergo renovations as a Cabinet Paper issued to that effect had been withdrawn and has not been re-submitted.

Approximately Rs. 30 million was estimated to renovate the office and this was approved by cabinet just over two months ago.
However, a cabinet paper in this regard which had been approved, was later withdrawn, and was to be re-submitted with amendments.
Senior assistant Secretary of the Opposition Leader’s Office in Parliament, Saman Lalitha said that a new cabinet paper to this effect has not been presented. He told The Sunday Leader that a fresh estimate had been presented by the Opposition Leader’s Office over one month ago.
