Disciplinary action against six UPFA LG members

The governing UPFA has informed six local government members of disciplinary action being initiated against them.

UPFA General Secretary, Petroleum Minister Susil Premajayantha told The Sunday Leader that letters have already been sent to six UPFA local government members representing the Dodangoda Pradeshiya Sabha and the Poddala-Bope Pradeshiya Sabha.

The six local government members representing the two local government bodies had voted with the opposition against the respective budgets presented by the UPFA.

“The two Dodangoda Councilors voted against the budget a second time after getting warning letters from the party,” he said, adding that strict action would be taken against all party members who violate the party Constitution.

Nobody has the right to pressure an individual to vote in favor or against. Funny country.
