Explosives found in Colombo bound bus
Explosives were found hidden in a bus heading to Colombo from Jaffna late last night, the police media unit said this afternoon.
Police spokesman S.P Ajith Rohana said that 38 passengers who were in the bus at the time as well as the driver and conductor were taken in for questioning following the detection.
The police said that the explosives were hidden under the seat of the bus in a bag and the owner of the bag had not been identified.
Among the explosives found were 300 grams of gun powder, three electric detonators, a roll of fuse and bullets.
The army discovered the explosives when the bus was searched at Omanthai. Further investigations are underway.
This is just another folly by the Army to keep the checking going on. You know, you got to keep the army occupied. Else they might think of doing silly things. But that is done at the cost of public suffering!
Under world operates from here in Colombo and not in Jaffna and therefore there is no need for any one to smuggle these explosives all the way from Jafna. Any fool will know from the spate of incidents in the past few years, who has got ready access to these deadly items. Besides our hounourable minister Merwin Silva openly said that he has twenty five suicide bombers stand by against any threat.
This government wants to keep the Demon alive just to justifying their actions. masses.
