Petes, Joes Warm Up For Big Match In Contrasting Styles

  • School Cricket Review

St Peter’s and St Joseph’s warmed up for their Big Match next week in contrasting styles in the final games which concluded yesterday.
St Peter’s registered a comfortable nine-wicket win but their opponents were Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa – one of the weaker sides this season. The Peterites would not be too happy with the fact that they were bowled out for only 176 in their first innings.
Their batsmen had no answer to the bowling of Joseph Vaz’s Ransi Deepankara who returned figures of 8 for 58 – easily the best bowling performance this season.
