A President With A Giant Ego
Workers are seen here erecting a massive poster 20 ft. tall and 40 ft. wide near the Ayurveda hospital in Borella in support of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, as pressure mounts at the UN Human Rights Council for the government to probe human rights allegations. Picture by Thusitha Kumara

Srilanka’s Aishwarya Rai.
What sort of a mentality this man has. He surpass Gaddafi in Lybiya
Not only Gaddafi but Saddam Hussain and Hohsni Mubarak all rolled in one.
it should end like Gaddafi and SOON !
Thank God.. Mahinda is not a Gaddafi!!
You need to brush up ur knowledge of policital systems, history and leaders!!
Dont be too prejudiced
This self centered, uneducated, egocentric, forced attention getter does not understand that the more he put his banner face, the more public and the world analyze his IQ level and hate him. While people are suffering, and the country is heading for an economic collapse, he is smiling at the people ( as the banner shows) Looks like he is not bothered of peoples suffering. isn’t this a crime to waste people’s money erecting twenty feet banners when there is no liberty or justice or democracy in the country. Please implement those first and don’t pollute the environment erecting those unnecessary plastic cutouts. Those days are gone.
There will of course be sycophants in any dictaorship.
And these workers may not put up these cut-outs on their own will, but rewarded by the President
He will soon become worse than Gaddafi & even Bashar Al-Asad of Sriya ! Just watch him…
Ha.. Ha.. this man (Mahindaya ) might have spent out of his pocket to do this.. You idiots watch and worship him…
Whats the use of giant posters? Instead, request him to stop all his illegal activities, such as 1) abusing of power 2) misusing Govt funds 3) abducting & murdering 4) restore law and order 5) family bandism 6) look after the poor 7) release of SF immediately 8) demolish 18th amendment and executive presidency 9) take immediate action against DIG Anura Senenayka for releasing the white van abductors 10) sack all his Ministers and politicose who in illegal acts such as Mervyn, Duminda, Puspakumara, etc etc.
Pissu ballek. Give him some anti rabies injections.
Pushing aside all competitors he grabbed the title ‘I won the war.’ Now must be wishing it was given to Sf so that SF could be betrayed to the Geneva hands.
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) (aka Megalomania)
According to the World Health Organization, Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is described as, “A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (either in fantasy or actual behaviour), need for admiration, and lack of empathy that begins by early adulthood and is present in a variety of situations and environments.”
In order for a person to be diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) they must meet five or more of the following symptoms:
Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
Rarely acknowledges mistakes and/or imperfections.
Requires excessive admiration.
Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favourable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations.
Is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
Lacks empathy: is unwilling or unable to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.
Shows arrogant, haughty behaviours or attitude.
All of the above are applicable to Mahinda Rajapaksa. My personal belief is that he is afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). If you have been closely observing his shenanigans since he came to power in November 2005, (especially the week long Tamasha that was organised for his second inauguration as PresiDunce), you too would have come to the same conclusion after reading the observations of the WHO.
Now the 64 million dollar question is, WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?
Short of a peoples’ revolution or the grim reaper having mercy upon us and giving Rajapaksa what he deserves…I see no other solution to the continuation of his dictatorial rule in the near future!
Sri Lankas Gddafi building his cult !!!!!
Hope Rajapaksa is punished for war crimes.
Time to put a garland and say good bye to him. High time for his topay for his crime.
