Monk Fined For Watching Porn

A monk from the Dippitigoda Dalugoda temple in Peliyagoda was arrested and charged for watching pornography. He was produced before Courts on March 8, fined Rs. 8,000 and released, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said. The Chief Monk of the temple had lodged a complaint with the Peliyagoda police, who arrested the monk in question on March 6. The monk had been caught watching “blue films” while on temple premises. The Personal Computer from which he was watching the blue films has been confiscated and handed over to the state, SP Rohana said.
some Buddhist monks they enjoy their maximum under the guise of religious attire…….. they try to pollute the religion and other norms of religious practices….we should have a mechanism to select these people for privenas…..otherwise no way…oh Lord Buddha ………..

it is not a secret that some very supposed to be ‘respectable’ monks having lady keeps and children. At the same timethere are catholic priest charged in courts worldwide for sexual harrasment against young children.
I believe that a Buddhist Council shall be formed to discipline monks whether they are samaneras or Nyaka hamudurows.
These are the individuals who ordains as Buddhist monks only to survive and not to promote the religion. By becoming a monk they get food and lodging free, so why not. Additionally, the people provide them with best of foods that they doesn’t eat every day. What does this do, it increase the testsrone capacity and they have to engage themselves in some activity. The authorities who are responsible for the betterment of the the Buddhism should remove these culprits, disrobe them and send them back to join the normal society to earn their living. This action has to practice all time when Buddhist monks are involved in any action which is contrary to the teaching of the Lord Buddha. If not in time to come Buddhism will vanish because these rouges in Yellow Robes.
either this monk should have quit his position or should not have watched porn movie if he believes in God.
