Frontman Mirshad Buckman is set to electrify the crowd

The much awaited performance by the pioneer grunge, rock outfit Paranoid Earthling (PE) will be held at the Goethe Institut Colombo, on Saturday, 12 May from 8 pm onwards. PE has been in the rock music industry since 2001 and are known for their mindblowing performances; be it a local concert or an international one. The last being “Whatever” which was on December 2011 still is the talk of the town.
The tag line  and the name of the concert in itself contains many possibilities of things to expect from them. However, for the benefit of everyone I got Mirshad Buckman, the frontman of the band to explain as to what PE has in mind for us. “Our fans will get to hear alternate versions of our songs along with extended jam sessions with other artists in the Sri Lankan rock music scene. We have jammed with various artistes at different ocassions and some of our fans have experienced our unplugged sessions, but this would be a first for most of our gig attendees,” he stated.
The band has few more performances lined up for this year and of course owes their followers the much awaited Paranoid Earthling Album which, has been in the makes for the past decade. According to Buckman the band is preparing for the recordings to commence and says that he would be mixing the album himself. If it is not suprising to know, well — then you really know what potential he holds and is no doubt going to make Paranoid Earthling sound the exact same way they want. Moreover PE is scheduled to perform at the upcoming Colombo Music Festival 2012 along with other musicians in August 2012. But for the followers of Paranoid Earthling; it is just but a glimpse of what the band has in store for this year. So plug your ears and wire your minds for the big events that are about to unfold.
Tickets for the concert would be available at the gate at LKR 1,000. For details on pre-sold tickets check the updates through
