Some Government MPs Backing Fonseka
By Indika Sri Aravinda
UNP MP Palitha Thewarapperuma says some government parliamentarians including two senior Ministers have shown interest in supporting former army commander Sarath Fonseka.
Thewarapperuma said that he also supports the forming of an opposition coalition to fight against the government.
The UNP MP has been seen accompanying Fonseka at most public events including Fonseka’s first press briefing last week since his release from prison.
Thewarapperuma feels the UNP has a right to support Fonseka and his political goals in future as well.
He said that the UNP leadership cannot place barriers on any UNP MP from backing Fonseka publicly.

Thouse who have all bad records and criminal suspects might try to get in to Fonseka’s party, Better get them to produce a Police report and there assesment of income and wealth. These guys will join to safe gard there money.
