Time For UNP To Decide Says Sajith

UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa says the time has come for the party to decide if it will support Sarath Fonseka or not.
Premadasa says the country needs a good opposition leader and the UNP needs to decide how it will address this issue.
He said that only the UNP working committee can decide on the direction the party will take and not any individual.
Premadasa also dismissed the idea that by taking part in an event attended by Fonseka means the individual has joined Fonseka’s camp.
UNP MP Palitha Thewarapperuma has been criticized by some UNP seniors for attending most of the events organized by Fonseka.
Thewarapperuma feels the UNP has a right to support Fonseka and his political goals in future as well.
Thewarapperuma had said that he also supports the forming of an opposition coalition to fight against the government.
