Paranoid Earthling To Rock Kandy

With the successful unfolding of the Paranoid Earthling Live concert series last year Paranoid Earthling had an astonishing start for their live concert series for 2012 last month. Due to popular demand, the band will this year take their live concert series to different parts of the island and their second stop will be their hometown Kandy. The event will be held on Saturday 4 August 2012 at Sampath Hall, 4A Sangaraja Mawatha, Kandy and will commence at 6pm.
This is indeed going to be one of the most awaited gigs in Kandy since Paranoid Earthling were the first rock band from Kandy and their fans have been begging for an Earthling’s gig for quite a while.
The band will be sharing their stage with Falcon Cry (Thrash Metal), Pariah Demise (Black Metal), Genocide Shrines (Death Metal) and Rahju from Thapas (Mantra Rock). According to Mirshad Buckman – front man of Paranoid Earthling, the band is excited and is eagerly looking forward to perform in Kandy.
When asked as to what is new with the band, Buckman said that they performed a new original track at their gig in June and the song is yet to be given a title. “Apart from the Live concert series, we are set to perform at the Colombo Music Festival’s ‘Rockamania’ on Friday 24 August at British School Auditorium and if all goes well we will perform at this year’s Sound Central Music Festival (September-October) in Kabul, Afghanistan,” he added. Looks like the band has a very tight schedule this year as the earthlings will also be hitting the studio to record the tracks for their album. The event is organised in collaboration with the Kandy Rock Merger while TV Derana and AWN Radio will join them as media sponsors.
