“There Are No Monitors In Ministries” — Dinesh
By Indika Sri Aravinda
The government has appointed nearly 20 MPs as Monitors to Ministries according to research carried out by us. Some MPs have been appointed to these positions as far back as December 2010.
Yet Minister Dinesh Gunawardene, Leader of the House from the government ranks addressing parliament on the 12th of August 2011 said that none had been appointed to monitor Ministries. However, contrary to his statement some monitoring ministers have been allocated office space in the relevant ministries in addition to extra security personnel.
Though extra payments are not added to their salaries they have been allocated some subjects and projects in the ministries.
The list: Duminda Silva – Ministry of Defence and UDA, Udith Lokubandara – UDA, Sajin Vass Gunawardene – Foreign, Manusha Nanayakkara – Media, Arundika Fernando and Janaka wakkumbura – Highways, Mohan T de Silva – Fisheries, Mohanlal Grero – Education, E Basnayake – Sport, Shriyani Wickremesinghe – Women and Childrens, Namal Rajapaksha – Youth.
Most of these have been appointments made during the previous year but since some of them have not been allocated office space within the ministries they do not turn up.
When Senior Minister S.B. Nawinna was contacted on this he said “ I am not aware if such MP’s have been appointed”.

Patriot,
You are correct, when the country was in the “Threat” of uneducated , criminal gang , with no care no mercy for “Human Beings” either Tamil , Sinhalese, Muslims, young or old, women or men, or children called as “Liberation Tigers”, we Srilankans neaded the “Similer Status” , “Uneducated, group of Thugs” to answer the “Threat”. That was why we selected present “Family Company”.
Now that “Threat” is over, now we do not need this group any more, realy we need “Educated, Farthinking, Experienced,Matured,World Honord,Respectable group of Professionals to line up the country from the “Trash Bin”.
But foolish Srilankan Voters given the “Power” to the “Family Company”. They do not have single above mentiond man or woman from “Top to Bottom”, and same way they do not know any other way to develop the country other than what they used to kick out “Liberation Tigers”.
That is why they apply their same method to Srilankan Citizens to keep them “Under their Boot”. In clear Sinhala it says “Ape Arakku Apitama Gahanawa”.
Answer is with Srilankan “Voters”.
MAYBE IF YOU NAME THEM AS KABARA GOYAS OR KATUSSAS, THE MINISTER WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND !
