Sri Lanka Polluting The Indian Ocean
Our photographer captured this picture which shows a part of the ship that sank off Panadura washed ashore on Friday at Bambalapitiya. The same day the Disaster Management Ministry said that oil leaking from the sinking ship off Panadura had been detected some four to ten nautical miles off Galle Face (Colombo) and was spreading towards the sea off Negombo. Recent surveys have shown Sri Lanka to be the worst polluter of the Indian Ocean.

Are you seriously saying Sri Lanka is a worse polluter than countries like India, Pakistan or Bangladesh?
It’s one thing criticising the government, just throwing wild accusations like this is more likely to alienate the vast majority of people in the country and make them disregard anything worthwhile you write.

Dont ask stuppid questions, SL is much smaller than these nations, per capita pollution should be investigated.
