Zahira College Colombo emerged winners of the Invitation Six-a-side cricket tournament organized by Zahira – Group of ’80 to mark the 120 year celebrationsof the school.
Zahira defeated Wesley by 22 runs in the final played at ZahiraCollege Grounds. Batting first after winning the toss, Zahira scored 70/2 in their allotted five overs with N Ahamed striking seven sixes in a hurricane knock of 58. Wesley could manage only 48/3 in the allotted overs leaving Zahira easy winners.
