Students Of Mercury Institute Carry Away 15 Sri Lankan Prizes At ACCA Exams
Mercury Institute of Management affirmed it’s status as to why they are currently the only platinum accredited ACCA tuition provider in Sri Lanka by carrying away 15 prizes at the recently held ACCA prize winners awards for December 2011 and June 2012 examinations and attaining high marks in terms of world rankings. Amongst them was also the winner of the Best affiliate award Maduhansi Mihindukulasuriya for June 2012 exams..
Worldwide, ACCA confers Platinum Status to only a handful of its Tuition Providers ‘in recognition of exceptional quality of tuition provided and support for ACCA students’. Platinum Status challenges the total quality of the institute with a minimum requirement being an institute’s ability to deliver Pass Rates higher than World Pass Rates in consecutive sessions, on a consistent level. Mercury Institute with its distinguished track record of proven success made it to the top bringing honour and recognition to not only its world class lecturers and students but to Sri Lanka as well.
Adopting a stringent coaching infrastructure that ensures students of a truly one-to-one coaching experience which helps them pass first time at all levels, Mercury is uncompromising on its compact, size-controlled classes which follows in the footsteps of top education countries like the UK which insist on a minimum number of students per class. Education specialists and parents have highly commended and praised Mercury for its commitment towards student success and it’s excellent panel of Lecturers that has been instrumental in ensuring that the institute has produced mercurial results from its students who have delivered excellent pass rates with a high ratio of students at every ACCA examination during the past number of years.
Speaking of it’s success the Managing Director/CEO of Mercury Institute Jeevith Shakespeare stated that “We have always worked towards maintaining ;one of the hallmarks of our success which is our ability to produce high achievers. That is why we have geared our teaching strategies in a manner that has helped in obtaining these outstanding results and achievements for our students.
“The focus of lectures is to impart knowledge that stimulates learning and critical thinking. In tutorials, the emphasis is on the application of knowledge in the real world of business and accounting practices. Apart from lecture notes, students are also given an ACCA-approved recommended text for each of the papers enrolled.
“Students are also required to attend the Exam Driven / Exam Focus classes for each of the papers registered. These classes are followed by a mock exam where questions are answered under examination conditions.”
“The education landscape is changing and over the next decade and we will see a different picture emerge,” he said.
