Opposition To Seek Blockade

By Indika Sri Aravinda

The common opposition says it will request the Department of Immigration and Emigration not to allow government officials to flee the country if there are allegations against their name in the event the opposition wins the Presidential election this week.

Parliament Member Rajitha Senaratne said that they have received information of an attempt by some officials to flee Sri Lanka.
Senaratne said that many such officials have submitted applications to foreign embassies to flee the country.

Senaratne said that the complaints against such officials will be reviewed before the election since they may flee the country by January 9.
He also said that legal action will be taken after the election against the officials who are responsible to have tapped the telephones of opposition members.

Rajitha we hope you are not planning to run away. We understand that you and your family is given safe passage to the west according to the agreement you reach with Sirisena. We have to block the gates for all the media people who twisted the Srilanka situation using social media. The 5,000 lap tops gifted by US to UNP has been used make a mockery of democracy. We should hold these people responsible for the low conduct.

There are corruption allegations made against opposition members too and many of them recent cross overs from the Government side. In fact I read in one of these websites that a court case has been initiated by an individual, against Rajitha Senaratne for dodging the proper Tender procedures and purchasing inferior life jackets for the fishermen at inflated costs.
Therefore, blocking of flights overseas should also apply to all the opposition politicians and businessmen, in the event Mr Sirisena lose the election as predicted
