Prasanna To Be Removed

by Ashanthi Warunasuriya

Joint opposition member and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Parliamentarian Prasanna Ranatunga is to be removed from the post of chief organiser for the SLFP in the Minuwangoda electorate.

Well informed sources said several changes are expected to be made in the party organiser positions and as part of the changes, Ranatunga is to be replaced.

Ranatunga has been fully involved in promoting the joint opposition which is working against the government now.

He is also known to be a strong supporter of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

When contacted by The Sunday Leader, Ranatunga said he was aware of reports that he will be replaced, but he has not received a formal communication.

He, however, said he is prepared to face any eventuality and will not change his policy in local politics.

This fellow is so corrupt and he always use politics and his position to cover up corrupt Sri Lankan politicians and their operatives. He is a politician because of the present Electoral System in the country, On a first past Post system, he and his family members would have gone home a long time back.
